A Life Behind the Lens
I am a BritishโSouth African wildlife photographer and filmmaker with a deep passion for the natural world and a lifelong fascination with the extraordinary diversity of life on our planet. With roots in both Britain and South Africa, my background has shaped my appreciation for different cultures, landscapes, and perspectives, while inspiring a profound connection to the wilderness and the remarkable creatures that inhabit it.
My work has taken me across three continents, from the vast, untamed landscapes of Africa to the diverse ecosystems of Asia and the breathtaking natural environments of Australia. Through photography and film, I seek to capture the beauty, complexity, and raw authenticity of wildlife in its natural habitat, telling visual stories that bring audiences closer to the natural world.
For me, wildlife photography is far more than documenting animals. It is an opportunity to witness nature in its most honest form: the quiet moments of a predator observing its surroundings, the delicate interactions between animals and their young, the movement of herds across open plains, and the extraordinary balance that sustains life in even the most challenging environments. These moments require patience, preparation, technical skill, and a willingness to spend time immersed in the field, often waiting hours or days for a single fleeting opportunity.
Throughout my travels, I have worked across a variety of landscapes and habitats, continually learning from the environments I explore and the wildlife I encounter. Every expedition presents its own challenges, whether navigating remote terrain, adapting to unpredictable weather, or working carefully to observe animals without disturbing their natural behaviour. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to producing authentic, compelling imagery that reflects the true character of the natural world.
